How often is DNS updated?
Issue
I made a change to my DNS through my control panel, yet the change is not showing up when I query your name servers. When does the information get updated?
Solution
For better redundancy and performance, we have dedicated name servers separate from our web servers. In addition, we have 2 name servers per data center.
DNS updates from our web servers to our name servers occurs once an hour on the hour. If you need to make critical change that's updated immediately, do it just before the next hour.
